Among other things, chess promotes concentration and abstract thinking skills in children. "Wanting to win and being able to lose" is a valuable experience for pupils.

The Chess Tigers (https://www.chess-tigers.de/) have been carrying out projects in the area of school chess since 2005 and have achieved considerable success; they are also very popular here at the ESRM.
