Mother Holle

The Galli Theater Wiesbaden is visiting us again. In this wonderful and captivating interactive theatre performance, the children are not just watching – they become part of the fairy tale themselves!

A hardworking girl drops her spindle into a well and jumps in after it. There she enters the magical world of Mother Holle, where there is plenty of work to do: the bread must be taken out of the oven, the apples must be picked from the tree, and Mother Holle’s pillows must be shaken so that it snows in the world. Mother Holle rewards her generously for all her hard work.

Her less hardworking sister then sets off for Mother Holle’s world as well. But because she refuses to do any of the work, she receives a very different reward in the end – she is covered in pitch!

The children’s mission? To join the sisters on their adventure and help bring this classic fairy tale to life with movement, imagination, courage, and lots of fun!
